Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Palettes | First Impressions

Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes are nothing new, however, I seem to have somehow managed to go through life without trying any of their products before which is crazy! For anyone who hasn’t seen this brand in Superdrug before, they offer a whole host of different palettes for really affordable prices. These particular Iconic Pro Palettes 1 and 2 are both currently only £6 online which is incredibly good value for the amount of different shades you get. Some of the palettes they do are just matte shades, however, I went for these two palettes which had a combination of matte and shimmer shades.

ICONIC PRO 1

The stand out shades in this palette for me are ‘Must’ through the crease (third from the top left) and also ‘Getter’ (third from bottom left) and ‘Stage’ (sixth from bottom left). Stage is a really lovely brick red shade with a lovely shimmer to it. I find that the shades are pretty pigmented but they can have a little bit of fallout. I tend to apply the shimmery shades in particular with a tissue under my eye to catch any potential glitter fallout. This is a really lovely palette and has a good mix of nude shades. The lighter shimmer shades are also the perfect inner corner highlight. The price point is fantastic and from the use I’ve had of it so far, the product does last all day on the eyelid.

ICONIC PRO 2

The stand out shades in the Iconic Pro 2 are ‘One Way’ (fifth from the top left) which is a lovely Purple/Burgundy tone which is very different from the rest of the palette. I also adore literally every shade on the bottom of this palette. The tones of the copper/bronze shades are beautiful and I cannot wait to create a lovely neutral look with these. The pigmentation and quality of these are incredible. This whole palette is an amazing dupe for the Lorac Pro 2 and again this is only £6! It’s honestly such good value and I cannot wait to get my hands on more Makeup Revolution palettes! I’ve definitely got my eyes on their highlight and bronzer palettes which look to be amazing dupes of the ABH/NYX contour palettes. They also sell heart shaped highlighters which look identical to the Too Faced ones. It’s definitely a brand I will be buying from again!

I love Makeup Rev! Although I’m yet to try any of their eye shadows yet. These both look like such great palettes with lots of wearable colours. The swatches are so lovely and I love your bow tattoo too x

I’m surprised how well these swatch on you, they’re such great value for the price! I think I prefer palette 1 and all the warm shades

I own the original Lorac palettes and these ‘dupes’ and I don’t think they’re the best palettes MUR do sadly as I find them to be quite chalky and dry, but I do love/appreciate that they offer a budget alternative to those who can’t get hold of the originals! xx

Makeup Revolution are the best at duping palettes, and seem as though Lorac is so hard to get hold of, these sound great! Love both of these palettes, not sure what one I would choose!
