Top 3 Autumnal Lipsticks

So it is officially Autumn! How did that even happen? This year has just flown by ridiculously fast and it doesn’t seem like I’ve had time to stop and really appreciate it. Nonetheless, I am a massive fan of Autumn. There is nothing more enjoyable than being able to snuggle up under a blanket surrounded by candles and not feeling guilty for it. And don’t get me started on being able to layer up with scarves and hats. I love it. Therefore there is no better time to take a look at my current 3 favourite Autumnal lipsticks. Here goes…

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (Rome)

I have become a NYX addict recently, there lip products especially are incredible and so, so affordable! These lip creams are just £5.5o and can be picked up in loads of Boots stores across the country. I have a couple of these but this particular shade is a perfect choice for Autumn. It’s a lovely shade and is described as a ‘medium nude with a red undertone’. I really love the formula of these lip creams, they have a matte finish but are not too drying on the lips. With most matte products they do tend to fade throughout the day but I feel like this fades in a nice subtle way and isn’t as noticeable as a lot of other matte lip products. I also love that this range has so many different shades so you can find a perfect match for your skin tone.

I managed to get my hands on this little beauty as part of the Killer Heels Lipstick set which was on sale last year but you can now get your hands on the full size product. The shade is described as a ‘pure blood red with no blue or orange’. I have to agree, it really does stay true to form and is a beautiful deep red/brown colour, think sexy vampire. It is perfect for Autumn and the upcoming colder months. I would definitely pair this with a dark/gothic sort of outfit combination or with a dramatic black winged eyeliner. Of course with it being NARS, the full size is a lot more expensive and retails at £21.00 which is a lot more expensive than other lipsticks with a similar colour payoff. Nonetheless, I think this is a perfect choice for Autumn.

I’ve spoken about my love for this lipstick before. This range of lipsticks are such good value and at £3.90 they rival many high street lipsticks and definitely don’t skimp on quality. The formula is quite creamy and dead easy to apply. They also have great longevity throughout the day and night. This particular shade is perfect for a night out and is a very deep purple/plum colour. It’s definitely a bold statement lip and is certainly far from subtle. However, I personally think it is a great choice to help create the perfect Autumnal look.
