NYX is a brand that I am relatively new to, having only discovered it in my local Boots this year. It has, however, very quickly become one of my absolute favourites as you can probably tell! As soon as I saw it’s own stand in all its glory I couldn’t help but pick up a lot of products and the collection hasn’t really stopped since then. The brand stocks absolutey everything you could possibly need and also at a very reasonable and affordable price. Their lip products are raved about and are very much considered amazing dupes for the likes of the Kylie Jenner kits and many other more expensive matte lip products but at a fraction of the price.

There lip products are for me, the best of NYX. I have tried quite a few of their different formulations and I adore them all. The soft matte lip creams are a perfect product for a daytime look, really easy to apply and not too drying. As with all their ranges, they have such a great range of colours and shades to choose from too. The soft matte lip creams are £5.50 which is such an affordable price and also rivals many high street lip products. The liquid suede collection seems to include more bold and bright colours and very highly pigmented. Tea & Cookies is a very pretty pinky shade and is great for those days that I want to be extra girly! The formula of these is a little more matte than the lip creams but I find it has great longevity for a product of this type. This range retails for £6.50 each which is also really inexpensive.
The applicator for the liquid suede and the lip lingerie products are the same and I really love that it has a longer, thinner applicator and it is so easy to apply. Last but by no means least is the Lip Lingerie collection which is probably my favourite. The whole range is packed full of different toned nudes, perfect for every skin tone. These are also £6.50 and I just love the whole collection. As you can see, there are very different tones but they all have a nude/neutral feel to them. They are liquid lipsticks that don’t skimp on quality and they are non transferable which is perfect. I would highly recommend all these lip products!
Next up is my most recent purchase, the NYX Vivid Brights eyeliner in Sapphire. This shade is so beautiful! I was pretty sceptical and cautious of buying this product thinking it was probably a bit of a gimmick but I actually bloody love it. The colour comes through as a very bright and bold blue and creates such a different and dramatic eye look. These are also £5.50 and there are quite a few different shades to try out. I definitely have the yellow and red on my wishlist. The two timer eyeliner is one I also have in my collection. This is a duel ended product with liquid liner on the one end and kohl liner on the other. This isn’t as good as the Supercat liner from Soap and Glory but it is a pretty reasonable liner and for travelling it’s great to have 2 in 1.
The NYX Highlight and Contour pro palette is very much loved. This is a really good dupe for the ABH palette which is considerably more expensive! This palette is currently £18.00 which for 8 shades is pretty damn good. I do use all of the shades in this palette, some more than others but it definitely gets used a lot and so it was totally worthwhile picking this one up. There is a mix of matte and shimmer shades and there is definitely a shade for you amongst this big palette. I particularly love the highlight shade on the top right and the middle two contour shades on the bottom. A great purchase if you are looking for something a little more affordable and don’t quite know what shade to choose.
Other face products that I’ve tried include the Pore Filler which I find is identical in consistency and finish to Benefit’s porefessional but at only £11.00 it is a heck of a lot cheaper. It gives you a really flawless base and I love using this on my nose to conceal and hide and pores. The Matte Finish setting spray is also a great find that really does the job. It’s the only setting spray I’ve used before so it’s hard to say how it compares but I have noticed that my makeup does stay on for longer when I use the setting spray on top. Last but not least is the concealer wand which I’ve had for quite a while now in the shade Light. This is a really creamy formula which is not too dissimilar to the NARS radiant creamy concealer. It hides any unwanted blemishes and now comes in a couple of different shades and also colour correcting shades. It’s definitely worth a try!
