Festive Makeup Look

So today I thought I’d bring you an unintentional festive makeup look! Yes it may still be November but I’m certainly starting to get in the festive spirit. For all you bah humbugs out there, look away! This look didn’t start out as a festive makeup look but it very quickly ended up with a bit of sparkle, shimmer and a coral/red lip.

For starters, I used the NARS radiant creamy concealer in the shade Vanilla. As you can probably tell I’m suffering with some break outs across my chin at the moment so I tried to cover these as best as possible! I also used this concealer on my undereyes to try and disguise any darkness. Next up we went on to the L’Oreal Nude Magique cushion foundation in shade 3 which I believe is also called Vanilla. I’ve mentioned before that I don’t really like cushion applicators so I applied this using my Real Techniques sponge instead. It’s weird really how I’ve gone from using foundation brushes to apply foundation to never using them and relying wholly on my beloved sponge! It just gives a much nicer finish. To set this in place I used my Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder which is actually running low! This has actually lasted me months and months so I would definitely recommend it. Now I’m all about the bronze goddess look, even though it’s approaching Winter so I had to use my L’Oreal Glam Bronzer all over. To add a little more sparkle and glow I dipped into the Anastasia Beverly Hills That Glow Glow Kit in the shade Bubbly.

Face done. Now onto the sparkly eyes! I like to use MAC Soft Ochre paint pot as a base on my eyes to keep everything smoothed out. On to the lid I used a dupe of the Huda Beauty Textured Shadows palette which I picked up online. I used the shades Sandalwood, Henna and the beautiful sparkly shade Trust Fund. It’s a lovely warm copper colour packed full of sparkle which can be built up. My trusty Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner was then put to good use. I’m still yet to find an eyeliner I like as much as this one. I find the formula is so easy to glide on and doesn’t disturb my eyes as much as other liners. To finish the eyes off I used the Laura Geller Style Lash Intense Lengthening mascara. To finish off the look in its entirety I used a Kat Von D liquid lipstick dupe. Now this is supposed to be a dupe for Double Dare but to be honest it looks more like Santa Sangre to me. It’s a bold coral-red colour which is perfect for the festive season! It’s not a colour I wear very often but I think it perfectly complimented the rest of the look – perfect for Christmas!
